Bringing Music to the Great Outdoors

Today's technologies including broadband internet access, music and video streaming, HTDV and whole house audio, have created a desire for high quality sound reproduction throughout the entire house. As we enter the spring and summer months, with increased time spent outdoors, the need arises to bring that sound outside as well.

MCM offers an answer to this need. This permanent installation solution provides solid performance, attractive appearance and resistance to the elements.

Model #50-5376 Rock Speaker System.
This high performance two way speaker is designed to mount inconspicuously in gardens, within hedge and shrub lines, around decks, swimming pools, or any outdoor location.

Don't be mislead by the unconventional appearance. These speakers provide sound performance that rivals traditional bookshelf speakers selling for twice the price. Housed in their unique enclosure, is a heavy duty 8' polypropylene cone woofer, matched with a 1" mylar dome tweeter. Both are designed to handle long term exposure to the elements while providing superior sound. The specially designed molded fiberglass/resin enclosure is fully weather and UV resistant, providing long term natural appearance. And compatibility is not an issue.

These 8ohm speakers may simply be connected to a "B" speaker output on a conventional stereo system, or incorporated into an entire whole-house audio system, using a separate Zone Amplifier. The following photos are of an actual installation of these speakers, after five years of use. Located in Southwest Ohio, they have been exposed to temperatures from sub zero to high 90's, heavy spring rains and winter snow. Additionally, these speakers face south, which means long term exposure to sunlight.

After five years of use, the speakers still look and perform great.

MCM stocks an entire range of installation accessories and tools required to make this installation a reality.

• Direct bury speaker wire
• Speaker Selectors
• Outdoor Volume Controls
• Masonry and Wood Drill Bits
• Silicone Caulk
