  This is the best BNC crimp-on ever. I use an Ideal Crimpmaster with a 30-581 Die set and it works great.

  MCM should remove this item unless they can supply a corresponding crimp tool. It detracts from their otherwise good reputation. I contacted MCM before writing this review. The crimp tool recommended was part # 22-925. It does not work. I will reiterate the words of OldHud – “This item is useless”. If anyone else wants to try it on RG59, I’ll send you one. Otherwise, try Part # 27-2860.

  I an clueless as to how this connector is assembled. There are no MCM crimp tools that will crimp the ferrule. Maybe one of the expensive, branded tools with replaceable dies has the right size die to crimp the ferrule, but that doesn't matter. If you do crimp the ferrule, it isn't small enough to clamp an RG-59 cable to the connector body. There is also no way to attach the center pin, either. A crimp tool would need jaws less than .050" thick - not likely. Soldering isn't feasible; the pin fits against the cable center insulation. Maybe I'm missing something, but there are no instructions to help. This item is useless.
