well as usual for mcm very little documentation or (none) in this case. have to go searching for information on how to use it or make it work! But the product looks good, and quick delivery.

    Useful, and Excellent value

    Overall: 5 out of 5

Tiny fixed-focus, cell-phone type camera with 1/4-inch format sensor provides impressive 1080p video quality. It is better than I expected and better quality than most webcams, I would say this is the market leader in its price range. Low-light ability not great, as expected (although when RAW output is enabled, and with longer exposure options, this may improve). === Basic software code for exporting stills & video works now. Some bug fixes and new features still being rolled out at this time. No V4L driver yet, still to come. Check RPi forum "CSI Camera Module" for updates. Lens hack for manual focus possible. IR filter removal hack shown to be possible, but extremely dangerous to sensor wirebonds (100% fatal so far). === Lens is very sensitive to flare, it would benefit from a hood. The camera comes as a bare board + flex cable, need to build your own enclosure for it as none yet commercially available. Most cases do not currently have a slot for the camera cable, so I had to whittle in a slot on my own. === Overall very pleased, will buy more when back in stock.

    Great little camera

Took a little doing to get everything connected, but once connected and software up and running, it is a charm!
