This rugged lantern with 13 superbright LEDs helps illuminate your work area. Carry it with the easy grip handle or place it on your work area using the built-in feet.
It's not nearly as bright as I had hoped for, which is my own fault for expecting too much. It's built tough enough and since powered by 4 D batteries it should last a good long time before needing new batteries. But it is no brighter than my old 3D maglight running a single old fashion xenon bulb. If you want a super bright LED flashlight, try the pocket sized adjustable one MCM sells, part # 29-4668
Reminiscent of the old 6Volt lantern battery lanterns, only brighter, lighter, uses 4D batts, at about half the cost of the old heavy duty lantern battery, and about a third of the cost of an alkaline 6Volt lantern battery.
I don't know about battery life, as it still has the first set in it. That's 9 months, so far. Only Con, the switch is very stiff. Could be a Pro, if your worried about it getting turned on by accident.
We are small group of performing musicians on a tight budget. MCM products have worked very well for us. Always looking for more live sound deals.
