  This battery fits my uninterruptible power supply with which I back up power to a desktop computer, monitor, and modem. The power rarely fails here; when it has, the UPS, with this battery, functioned properly. However after 18 months of such use, this battery lost its ability to hold a charge, its case swelled, and it cracked. It did NOT leak acid, but it DID cause the UPS to fail. The UPS failure was POSITIVE, meaning that it INTERRUPTED power to my devices while power to the UPS was ON. This is not all bad, as it alerted me to the failure before an acid leak developed.
