I had purchase in hoping to get more channels which happens to be picking up total of 31 local channels out of 34 available channels for Free-to-air channels. It's a great outdoor antenna - it works well for me.

We live in a valley about 40 miles from the TV stations. An indoor amplified antenna didn't pick up any stations. I installed this antenna in my attic, and it works great. This antenna is picking up every station in the area.

The 20 db gain is perfect for local reception of the extremely low signal level of the new digital broadcasts

I was amazed when I assembled this antenna and, even inside the house, it let me find twice the channels I found with a compact indoor-outdoor amplified antenna ( which cost me more! ) If you have someplace to put it, get a report from one of the websites telling you where to point it and give it a try. For about 20 bucks it can't be beat.

Fairly directional. Acceptable signal levels with towers up to 20 deg off. Receiving reliable signal for stations 15-20 miles at 20ft above ground level.

I bought two of these, one for a customer and one to experiment with at my own home. This antenna solved the UHF problems we were both having. For the customer to allow her to get Baltimore and some Washington D.C. stations, and in my own case to get the weaker Washington D.C. UHF stations. All stations for us were about 26 miles away, Washington or Baltimore but there is significant difference in the signals coming from each location. With this antenna pointed between the two cites I am able to get all the major UHF stations I'm interested in and my customer now has stations she has never gotten before. In my location I did not need an amplifier to get the signals to the TVs but in my customer's case an amplifier was needed for the longer cable runs and splitter losses. In both cases I reused the older VHF/UHF antennas for VHF only and used a combiner to get the UHF & VHF signals back onto one piece of coax before the splitter to the two TVs.

I ordered two of these units and a installed them on a chimney mount, I pointed one westward and the other one southeast, I fed both antennas into a combiner and sent that signal to a 20db amplifier and I am now getting 31 digital TV stations! ,I definately would recommend this product to everyone , having been a TV technican for years I've used many brands of equipment ,But for the cost and quality you cannot beat this antenna!

The first one you put together is a little PITA. Tried in one application where 2 other antennas failed. I questioned 20db gain when most higher priced units don't spec that high. Well pleased through roof w/ 4 way to 3 way splits. no amp. (your results may vary)

This is a great antenna with good quality. Installed in our attic and it solved all our problems. We have two of them since our signal sources are at about 90 degrees apart for all the channels and the antenna is very directional, I used an RF splitter to combine the signals from each and has proven to be great. Price is excellent. It is a bit complex to assemble but not bad if you follow the instructions,

50 miles from transmitters in Arkansas, in the middle of tall pine trees, no line of sight, getting great signals! Note, UHF only, won't pick up stations that are still in the VHF band.

Worth the wait, for the money this is the best antenna on the market. Easy to assemble and made of decent materials. I used it in the attic of my house and am able to pick up everything with in the local area crystal clear. I have no doubt that if I mounted it outside I would receive chanels from at least fifty miles.

I am 75 miles from Little Rock, but am up on the top of a Mountain. I had an active omnidirectional antenna (Recotron TV-3000) that had been marginal before the digital transition, but is now useless. I have low signals coming in from all directions, so I thought about getting a directional antenna with gain and a rotator, but that's a lot more than I wanted to spend. I saw that this unit had 20dB gain, which to me meant it was VERY directional. I decided it was low enough cost to buy it and give it a try before I dropped the money on a rotator. As I was waiting for it to arrive, I got on tvfool and ran their assesment for my specific address. It showed all the signals above noise margin for me to be in Little Rock, at 198 degrees. When it arrived, I assembled it, mounted it on my mast at 25 feet, pointed it to 198 degrees with the help of my GPS and a flag about 1/4 mile away, ran 8' of new RG6 into the shop and immediately into a 25dB VHF/UHF amplifier, to buffer the signal and compensate for

I waited for this antenna and it was worth it. Very nicely made, excellent instructions, easily worth three times the price. I'm using this, chimney mounted, on 12' of mast to minimize reflections, located 23 miles from the x-mitter. I aimed the antenna using www.antennaweb.org, then dialed in the highest signal reading for several channels using the signal strength meter of my digital converter box. Since the x-mitter is not very close, I also installed an 8dB in-line preamp as close to the antenna as possible, about 1M. Also, minimized signal loss with RG6 cable and fresh cable ends/connectors all around. If you are replacing another antenna don't leave this step out. Carefully tighten the connectors using a wrench or pliers. Old connectors and cable ends often have corrosion and will ruin you signal strength and drive you crazy trying to find the source of loss. I replaced a Terk Antenna costing three times this price and the RF connector at the antenna came off when I removed the output c
