Live just south of Dayton, works great for all Dayton stations. Cincinnati is about 45 miles away, gets one channel, but no others. All in all, can't complain.

The antenna works great, easy to use. My only problem I'm about 20 miles outside the city and get most of the channels and miss some of the weaker. Woould like a little more power.

I wasn't impressed at all. It pulled in 1/8 of the channels as my home made antenna does. I built several with as board, balun, and copper wire. Google it if you've never seen one. They work good. The plastic cracked almost immediately. I super glued it and plugged it in, scanned, and was let down by the results. I tried re-aiming it and anything else that I could think of. Nothing against MCM, I think they are a great company. However, I cannot recommend this antenna. They sell a nice indoor booster on here for about 10 bucks. Grab one of those, build yourself an antenna, and you will be pleased with the results.

I bought this antenna because my wife is on bed rest and we don't have cable in the bedroom. I initially connected a much larger, but awkward amplified antenna (10dB gain for VHF, 9dB for UHF) in the room, but it wouldn't pull in a few stations and due to the size, I couldn't reposition it. Based on other reviews and the specifications of this antenna, I was expecting this to be the answer. I expected to set this up on the dresser aim it, and the 26dB of gain would have no problems pulling in stations. WRONG. It did a better job pulling in stations with the gain stage turned off, but even then it is sub par compared with the awkward, lower gain antenna. I could hear something rolling around inside so I thought maybe a cap or inductor was loose explaining why the gain made things worse. No such luck, some of the hot melt glue that was supposed to hold the tuner in place had come loose. It did allow me to experience the poor build quality of this antenna. Shielded coax is stripped back way too far and kinked with a ~330 degree bend, solder quality is poor, and the tuner assembly is supposed to be just held in place with hot melt glue with a couple of guide posts. All of the glue in mine was cracked and the tuner is basically floating. I'm glad I paid less than $10 for this, I won't feel bad throwing it away. This is one of the VERY FEW times I've been disappointed with something from MCM Electronics, so no hard feelings.

I live in a rural area. Closest stations are maybe15 to 20 miles as the crow flies. Pointed accurately, I'm picking up 4 or 5 channels. If you are further away than that, this antenna will not likely work for you. I'd speculate this antenna might work fine in an urban area.

I am very pleased with this antenna. We live about forty miles from the local TV stations' antenna farm yet this unit is able to bring in every one of them clearly and with no dropouts or stuttering. One or two of the stations we are able to receive do require rotation of the antenna but that is no problem at all. (One of them is from another area not located in the aforementioned antenna farm.) Unlike some other indoor antennas, this one is optimized for both VHF as well as UHF frequencies. At least one of our local channels is still using a VHF frequency and it comes in very clearly. It is a real advantage to have the range of adjustment which this antenna offers and which allow an external auxiliary antenna to be attached and controlled by it. While we do not need any antenna other than this one, for many people this feature will be a major advantage. At its low price, it is a 'no-brainer' to buy and I highly recommend it.
