I purchased this in order to replace an older RF amplifier that didn't survive last week's storms. This RF amplifier works quite well. I live about 30 miles away from Chicago and I'm able to get excellent reception using this amplifier and a mid-range outdoor TV antenna. Peformance works best with the gain set to maximum and the FM trap on.
