  Saw the previous comment and had to chime in!! I too have used this control in several installations and have found it to be every bit as good as the Niles and SpeakerCraft versions, which cost a great deal more. The control performance is great, and the gasket seal is very well designed. It absolutely does not leak, at least not in any weather that you will encounter in the midwest. I have units that have been in place for over three years, that still work great. You will not regret buying this control.

  Works well, no noted distortion. Has handled a rainy fall and winter and survived freezing weather well with continued performance. This has outperformed the indoor-only Ben-Q impedance matched volume controls I have used inside my home which cost more and vibrate within my walls with percussive audio. This transformer volume control does not vibrate when driven by a high wattage receiver. Great sound, happy with the quality and has handled a season of indirect rain and ice without any problems. Would readily buy again if I ever needed another outdoor volume control.
