Very commonly used tweeter in musical instrument, sound reinforcement and DJ speaker systems. Rectangular horn lens provides wide dispersion, ideal in sound reinforcement applications.

  I paired this with MCM's new 10" woofer 55-2961. Crossed over with 37.5 ohms in parallel and 37.5 ohms in series. The results was a nice clean 2-way system without overly bright highs. Good for PA or guitar. (For brighter highs, increase the value of the parallel resistor, or remove it.) The downside is the tabs are rotated 90 degrees from where they they should be (and are in the picture), which makes it a little more challenging to install...still a great value for the price.

  I was a little concerned about using piezos over traditional bullet tweeters, but these were a bargain so I figured, why not? Built into a pair of 2x10 PA cabs, I crossed them over with a 2uf cap in series, 20ohm resistor in parallel, and 23ohm resistor in series, and came out with gorgeous top end. Smooth, but very present. These tweeters respond very well to a 23 ohm attenuation resistor. My customer was very impressed, as was I. I would even go so far as to say that these could be used for budget hi-fi, they're really that smooth when crossed over properly.

  Being a piezo tweeter I expected this to be somewhat grating on the ears. Not so! I use this with an 8" woofer MCM Part #: 55-1735 and it's an outstanding combination that results in a very linear sound. By the way the woofer is rated at 96db SPL and this tweeter is rated at 95db. If you used it with a woofer that is less efficient the tweeter may come across as somewhat harsh, but I came onto a winning combination and a quite pleased.
