      A closer look

      Overall: 3.5 out of 5

I bought a pair of these. I popped out the cones to inspect. These speakers are solid. When so many other speakers that have metal cones get cut into two prices and torch brazed together with ugly formers and voice engines, these bass engines are uniform with the cones.
I'm looking forward to hearing a lot more of these. I would be happy to buy them again!

      Overall: 5 out of 5

I have tested these in 2x10 and 4x10 vented enclosures. They are surprisingly warm sounding. Properly vented they reach very low freq. The XMAX sure looks like a lot more than 3.35 when theyre pumping. They have no distortion in the high freq while the xmax is pumping like crazy. Running -2- of these with 500 watts Crown power for 6 - 8 hours at 75% power, they were loud, very clear and never had a problem. The do not reach the ( 10,000 hZ ) claimed. Not by a long shot. I would say they are good to the 3,500 - 5000 range. They don'y have the 1000K bump as many musical instrument drivers have. There very flat & a good home theatre, or light PA driver.
