3000W Rack Mount Stereo Amplifier
Added features and exceptionally high power output allow these amplifiers to be used for sound reinforcement applications as well as multiple zone whole–house audio systems.
It does the job if your only looking for a house/apt amp. Would use this for a strret gig or club. But for the house yes. Also good for pluging your tv, cable box, ect. you get the picture.
Simple amp with adequate inputs and quiet power (no background noise or hum). Looks good too.
This amp will do the job if your needs are simple. The annoying thing is the volume knob...why not just a rocker button? And you have no idea what the volume is set at. Plus you lose all the setting when you unplug it and have to readjust the inputs and volume each time. Again, Pyle choses to use phenolic circuit boards which are not durable for rough use such as portable DJ work. When my package arrived, I found an entirely different Pyle amp in the box and had to return it. I found one online for a bit less. I will say the audio is clean and punchy...about 120 watts RMS at 8ohms per channel....not more.
I bought it a year ago just to run monitors for my band (classic rock). When one side of my Peavey cs 800 went out that normally run my mains (four 15in full range cabinets w/horns @ 4ohms per side) before a gig. I decided to hook them up to the Pyle just to get through the night. I was overwhelmed by the sheer volume and fullness of my PA. (I mic drums, bass and vox) It was at least twice as loud as with the Peavey. I'm now kicking myself for not using this amp sooner. It definitely does give you bang for buck. I do wish there was a line-level 1/4 inch input (I use the mic input coming from my board so it's a little sensitive) If the power meter is correct, I have plenty volume without having the meter kick into the red. (I use alot of bottom end for the kick and toms) Im not sure how long this amp will last but it is sure doing the job now. My peavey just needs a new input jack (I've been using it nonstop for 25 years so thats why I gave the Pyle a 3 for quality) I would recommend this amp for someone who has similar needs as mine and doesn't want to spend an arm and a leg for room filling sound. Two of my 15in speakers are Pyles that cost 75$ for both at the time. Im considering buying another Pyle amp to run the monitors anyway.
Very well designed and executed. Easy to use. Lots of power for a 15 pound amplifier thanks to the advanced light weight toroid transformer. Sound is sharp and clear through 12" DJ speakers with enought guts to punch through a 15" passive subwoofer. Cooling fan does a great job. So impressed, I'm ordering a second unit today.
First of all I am a part time mobil DJ. When i first saw this amplifier i thought to myself 300 watts great. i was thinking as a per Channel rating on a 8 ohm load. but as it turns out its only 150 watts per Channel @8 ohm. when i got it I hooked it all up and played some music through my 15" 3 way Dj Speakers It was bretter Sound than my 100 watt per Channel amp that I was using before and lot more clear at max volume. so then I tried out the mic and they didnt work . So i called MCM to see About a replacement unit They were very helpfull and was able to get one out for me right away. the new one is great everything works on it and im looking foward to doing shows with it. Dispite the problem i had with the mic jacks (could happen to anyone) i think it is a great amp for the DJ on a verry tight budget
I like it, it delivers good power to my speakers. I have some old school Technics floor standing speakers 2)SB-2840 & 2)SB-A54. I like that this amplifier can handle a 2 ohm load, I haven't used this feature but it's nice to know that I can hook my speakers up to a 4 ohm load and the unit will operate with no problems. Hmmm the 3000 WATTS....well that may be an overstatement...be sure to read the manual on the true power at specific ohm loads (THAT'S THE REAL POWER). I have it running using both A+B speakers at 8 ohms 300 WATTS and it sounds NICE! I'm gonna try it at 4 ohms later to experience the 550 WATTS. The clarity of the sound is EXCELLENT!
