I purchased a pair of these AR speakers last week and set them up over the weekend. Nicely finished, including the impressive, adjustable stand hardware. My sound experience has been very pleasing as well. I'm driving the pair as part of my 5.1 home theatre, using a Yamaha RX-V2700 (rated at 140 w/ch). These towers are sturdily built (but keep in mind that the Mfr. recommends 18 inch clearance between the woofer and a wall - I had to work around this for my installation). The speakers can be bi-amplified, FWIW.
