  The first battery I received didn't work at all. I was able to get it replaced with no hassle. The second one works the way it is supposed to. I charged my Samsung Epic 4G from 14% charge to 57% in 80 minutes. At that point, the battery needed charging again to work any further. I'd say it works the way it is advertised to work.

  I ordered two of these. One worked the other did not. That is a 50 per cent defective rate. I will be sending the bad one back for a refund. I have had way too many defective items received from the SPECIAL closeout pages,

  The first product received was defective, but upon contacting MCM they immediately replaced it--customer service was excellent. Product is quite portable, comes with various adaptors to meet most needs. Only complaint was the operating instructions are poorly written, appear to be a translation by a beginning student. Luckily, the product is simple enough that you can figure it out in spite of the instructions.

  To modsquito and others from another customer: 2000mAh is the capacity of the batteries within this device. The 600mAh figure would be the RATE it can charge another device. iPad's and other tablets take more than 600 to charge (1000 IIRC), so, no-go there. But cell phones and other small devices would be fine. Also, due to various inefficiencies, you will NEVER get all 2000mA out of this or any other product like it. I always assume *half* the rated capacity will make it to the other device, as a good rule-of-thumb. Hope that helps someone.

  It works as advertised. However, it is only able to charge my smart phone just once and up to about 80% of a full charge. It claims to store 2000mah of current capacity however, the output specification calls for only an output of up to 600mah max. Which is probably why it was only able to charge my phone once, and after using it once i would need to recharge the Coby pack once again.. I purchased two of these units and either one performed the similarly, only able to use each Coby pack once before requiring another charge.
