  I thought I would make a home for this meter on the bench and only remove it when new technology made it old. It works so nice on battery power and keeps it's leads stored so nice that it is finding it's way into the field. I am a guy who still hauls around a Simpon 260 so I don't think this puppy will be replaced soon. Taking readings is one thing but to be able to data log things, opens up a whole new level of accuracy for me and the results I must get. The meter looks so darn impressive I am sure people think I know what I am talking about just when they see it. I think I will raise my rates!

  Better than expected ... The catalog description doesn't do it justice. Features like data logging, Thermocouple, Battery or AC operation, and cable storage compartment make this meter a great choice for bench or field use.

  I troubleshoot a lot of video monitors and have to alternately switch between continuity/diode check to voltage. This requires you to pull the pos meter lead and plug it into another input. This is tiresome, believe me and everyone will occasionally forget to switch meter leads and the function switch. After one time mistakenly on continuity under power, I lost the backlight behind the display. Maybe a year later, doing so again killed the meter. Hey, I admit it's my own fault, but maybe I'll buy two to reduce the chance of an accident. No, I won't do that.

  works great for general test bench situations. accuracy, features, usability all great. large display, good quality leads, well built, very good buy for the money. I highly recommend.
