      Compact Audio Generator

      Overall: 5 out of 5

I have to give this a top rating as it does perfectly what I need of it. That is to supply a 1Khz signal into a 1/4 inch input into a guitar amp or PA mixer so I can trace tjhe signal for presence and level throughout the circuit. Most warrantee testing on amps is done with 1 Khz at different levels.
To the reviewer above I would say you can find and easily use 1/4 to RCA jack adapters if that is your only problem.
The ability to use a remote frequency control is also nice as I can check the ability of an amp to carry the full audio range as a final test.
MCM is accurate and fast on delivery and I hope to be a customer for a long time. The gear I have purchased from this company is always top notch and always fulfills what it is advertised to do.

      good little audio generator

      Overall: 4 out of 5

I use this for light duty audio frequency generation. I have used it about 10 times now and it has worked fine so far. I am feeding a small audio amp so I used a 1/4 inch (male) to 1/8 inch mini plug (female) to adapt. I have not used the VCO control, but the front panel frequency and level work fine. To get an accurate picture of the output frequency you should use an external frequency counter. If your needs are general and do not require high accuracy and single frequency is OK this this is not a bad little unit. Less trouble than some of the free PC signal generators that I have used because you don't need to boot it and knobs are better than a point and click volume and frequency adjustments. It is small - footprint of a smartphone only 4 times thicker. For what it cost not a bad little unit.

      Very Rugged and Well Built

Love the feel and build of this. Heavy metal box and high quality controls. I don't use this for anything too precise, just testing speakers and amplifier installations. Has enough output to drive a speaker directly (at a low level). Works great feeding any type of amplifier input except it is too high for a mic or phono input. I highly recommend.

Cannot USE on My NAD amplifier no information on cable specifics

      Overall: 1 out of 5

I thought you would give instructions on how to hook this up to my NAD electronics amplifier or KEF 104/2 speakers I purchased in 1987 while stationed in RAF Woodbridge UK but no standard hookup shielded RCA cable was compatible which is what we still use today to interconnect most components
