Low cost temperature controlled station is ideal for all levels of board level rework and repair. Closed loop control and digital display provide accurate nozzle temperature setting, while the efficient internal pump provides vacuum action. Unit comes complete with replacement nozzle, cleaning pins, replacement filters and filter tubes. Additional replacement components and a variety of nozzles are available separately.

      This is my second 6340 desoldering station. I don't know how old the first one was but, when a replacement was needed i purchased another one. Easy to use and maintain with readily available consumables, I look forward to years of service from this one as well.

      Never had one of these before. Always used large amounts of solder wick for the last 20 years. De-solder stations were always to expensive for my blood. But now I use this station all the time and it works great! Has paid for it's self in time and wick savings.

      This is a really good unit for the money. I have mostly used expensive "professional" stations and I would say this is nearly as good for 1/5 the money. I use the nozzle cleaning pins (PN 72-6347) to clear the residual solder and oxides whenever it stops up, (Hey MCM they should be included with the unit.) The gun is really easy to clean and the filters are cheap. Keep it clean and it works great!

      I have had no trouble with this unit. For the money it's a great deal and real time saver compared to solder wik.

      Clogging is a common problem with all de-soldering stations, a simple solution is replace the station iron holder with one that holds the iron in the vertical position [tip up]. As a certified PACE electronic workstation repair, I advise all my students not to use the downward iron holder. You are simply fighting gravity and it wins every time whereas tip up it works for you! A simple fix is to attach a magnet[s]to the workstation and epoxy a place of steel to the handle. Students have made several nice holders which are too difficult to explain here, get creative and you'll be doing a lot less de-clogging.

      This unit is much cheaper than a Hakko and does well. It's only drawback is that it clogs much too often (several times a day) and is time consuming to clean. Need better tools to remove clogs.
