      Will make my job a lot easier.

      I finally made the step and purchased one of these for myself. I had used my brothers identical unit a couple times and it worked so much slicker than my simple separate solder and desolder units. Heats up much quicker and is capable of much more things than the old stuff I was using.

      What a great Rework Station!

      I had to solder over 50 jumper cables (project given to me by the boss) and man, this soldering job was real easy using this Rework Station! The soldering iron heated VERY quickly and maintained its tip temperature as set on the digital readout. It is very easy to use and very easy to set the tip temperature. You can watch the tip temp climb as it reaches its set temperature. It also maintained tip temperature VERY well. I couldn't ask for a better soldering station. I have not used the desoldering feature, so no comment on that yet. MCM answered all my questions regarding solder stations and after listening to the sales tech, I ordered this Rework Station and glad I did!

      I own and personally used one of these Tenma rework stations since my purchase in 2006. It is my ONLY rework station. I love it, it works great and has never failed me when working with sensitive MOSFET devices and SM parts. Although it is a bench unit, I often take it to job sites where I know I will be working on sensitive electronics and/or an lot of repairs like stage lighting and sound systems. I keep a host of replacement parts for this unit because they are available! MCM is #1 for offering this great repair & service piece of gear.

      Great value for price

      This rework station comes with tips and nozzles. I have owned it for 2 weeks and it is working well. All though this is not a PACE product, it works extremely well compared to a $3K PACE station I was trained on. If purchased make sure you tin the tips and nozzles for about 30min to 45mins before using. This will tin them for good heat conduction and soldering. Place a little bit of mineral oil in the glass tube of the desoldering iron and spread it around the inside so the solder does not stick to it. When desoldering make sure you either have the desoldering iron horizontal or passed horizontal (nozzle facing up above horizontal) so that the solder flows easily into the glass tube. Never face the desoldering iron down vertical (270 degrees) and try to suck up the solder for this will clog the iron.
