  I purchased this unit as I did not own a dual output power supply and the sale price ($100) seemed to be a rather good deal. The outputs seem to track quite closely, which is nice when working with some circuits. I have not really had a need to use the 5 VDC output, but it is a nice option. I opened the unit (as I do with all new equipment) to find that the wiring and solder connections to be above par in quality. Too many of the mass produced devices these days have loose wires and cold solder joints. There are only a couple of minor issues that are worth mentioning. When adjusting the voltage through the 10 VDC range, a mechanical relay can be heard engaging. There is enough hysteresis to prevent oscillations when reducing the voltage, but the rather loud clicking noise is at first a bit disconcerting. The digital volt/amp meters seem to be fairly accurate, but their resolution is only good to one decimal point. This means that one can only set/monitor the output to the nearest .1 V or 10 mA. For most people, this is not a real issue. For me, there are times when I like to see current changes of less than 10 mA. Overall, I am very pleased with this unit. It will make a fine addition to my work bench.
