      Good scope, buggy software

      Overall: 3.5 out of 5
      Value:
      Quality:

Have had the opportunity to use the scope over a few weeks. The operation of the standalone functions is very good and very intuitive. I did see some of the the displayed messages as non-obvious (such as function operative status called "OPEN/CLOSED"). The display is very readable and the control panel robust. I like the ability to store setups and screen shots on a USB FLASH drive. Like other Tenma products I own, the software that came with the scope is buggy. Both the virtual panel and the far control app cause Windows crashes and fatal run-time errors. I've notified Tenma tech support with no answer from them in weeks. If you need the remote software, find another scope in the MCM catalog to buy.

      Nice Scope

      Overall: 4 out of 5
      Value:
      Quality:

I like the ease of use, and rich set of features for this scope. The triggering is wonderful, and the storage scope capability lets me capture one time waveforms nicely. There is only one gripe that I have with this scope. The cursor that allows you to measure time between two marker lines, has a bug in the firmware. There is supposed to be a "Tracking Cursor" mode, but this mode does not work. When you move the horizontal position the cursor lines DO-NOT track with the waveform as you would expect. This makes it very difficult to count clock cycles, or study detailed waveforms the way I want. I hope they have a firmware upgrade soon to fix this bug.
