Tone/probe set is basic necessity for anyone running data, voice or any other low voltage cable. It is also suitable for tracing alarm, coax or speaker cables throughout a structure. Two piece kit includes tone generator and amplifier probe, plus belt loop carry case.

  I was finally able to find the one broken network line in the mass of wires in the wire closet. Talk about making a job a whole lot easier. An indespensable tool for any tech working with low voltage lines. Don't forget to also order the RJ45 (MCM #: 22-13684) & RJ11 (MCM #: 22-13686) adapters to make things even easier. Of course, I'm saying this because I did forget and had to makeshift one on the spot to get things done. I will be ordering these to make things a little easier next time around.

  Considering the low price, I had my doubts. But this unit works as well as many others I've tried. At $35 bucks, I dont have to worry as much about my techs destroying them. A great item for the price.
