    Good Camera-Easy on My Budget

    Overall: 4.5 out of 5
    Value:
    Quality:

I bought this camera to complete my system for the home perimeter. It produces clear images daytime/night(IR). The camera body measures 2 3/8" Dia and 4 1/4" Long. Bigger than some bullet cameras but encloses 36 IR leds. Like most, there is a dim red glow visible, looking into the front, at night. It appears that the body is all aluminum with a sparkly silver coating. The mount is a typical 1/4-20 thread. Appears to be well made and a good choice.

    Defender Outdoor Camera

    Overall: 2.5 out of 5
    Value:
    Quality:

Needs to have a wider angle lens, Camera has decent quality, but the bracket is kind of cheap. Haven't reviewed the night time images yet so I can't let you know about IR's. All in All the camera is OK not greatest quality Image but you get what you pay for and it is cheap.

    All but the color

    Overall: 4 out of 5
    Value:
    Quality:

As all the other reviews state, all is spot on EXCEPT FOR THE COLOR. Resolution looks as good to the eye as a 560 LOR camera. I have installed two for a client where there is green grass. On the image the grass is brown. Color for this particular install was not an issue. I'm not overly critical of this camera. I'd still use and will use this camera again where color is not a factor. Just make sure if you are using this camera for someone else that they know this. Excellent construction and great to have several on hand.

    No Long Cable

    Overall: 3 out of 5
    Value:
    Quality:

Replaced a damaged camera driving 700 ft of CAT5 with baluns. It had a great pic. This one has a terrible image driving the same cable. Should be able to do 1200 ft. It also has a smaller field of view than other 3.6 mm lenses. This camera is a good price for use with short cables

This Camera has no iris control. Pix is overexposed in daylight. However. It works good at night.

    Great general purpose camera

    Overall: 5 out of 5

I have used several of these cameras now, all for outside installations, and for general monitoring, they can't be beat. Color seems to be pretty good. It will be interesting to see how they hold up over time. They are also priced so well when on sale, that a couple spares can be kept on hand for a quick change-out if needed.

Waterproof Color MCM#82-13760 Camera good for the cost

    Overall: 4 out of 5
    Value:
    Quality:

I am new to the DVR cameras. This camera does work very nicely with my low cost DVR. It offers a resolution of about 5 on a 10 point scale. The images are clear enough for motion detection and night vision. That is what helped the most, the night vision on my front drive and driveway. I have a PTZ mount that cost more than the camera for outdoors and that really provides the vertical or horizontal on my roof. It appears to be a good durable camera that will last years. The resolution is low so do not count on reading a mailbox number or license plate. However, that is not my neighborhood issue - just spotting the mail and a buzzer when the motion detection kicks or seeing something that may be of interest for safety. I feel that over a 30 year period, $300.00 worth of safety security will pay once for whole thing if needed.

Very Robust camera and True COLOR

    Overall: 5 out of 5

    Quality:

I bought this camera a few days ago on sale for 19.99,I wish I had bought more than one now. With this one I can replace my X-10 camera (`s). I haven`t cause the X-10 has such true color,,,well this one does too and the Night Vision is a big plus. The x-10`s do not have the ir. Even at the regular price I will soon be buying more of these! I have one more x-10 to replace and a Swann 600 that has lousy color.
