Manual is only 2 pages, so in dept info how to set up your router is not there. Get a tech friend to help you if you don't know what port forwarding is. I got MEye app for my android phone and can now view in real-time from anywhere.

Overall the system is a nice deal for the price i would highly recommend for basic monitoring outside your home.

Let me start off by saying I feel I got a good deal with this unit. I haven't had it up and running for long periods as of yet, but I got everything connected and tested, and it does its job.

The reason for the broken english in my subject is because that is what you will experience reading the instruction manual. I don't normally rely upon manuals too much, but since I don't know video on a very technical level, I was counting on it to provide me with some layman insight into quality vs storage etc.. the information in the manual just makes things fuzzy sometimes.

If you haven't worked inside a PC before, the manual won't be of great comfort with installing the HDD either. There are 4 rubber brackets included in the package, these are "shock absorbers" for the disk drive, and are to be mounted onto the HDD via screws in the sides. They help protect the drive once mounted on the bracket in the case. The manual does not mention these, and thus they would be left off by anyone who didn't have that knowlege already... which in turn makes the bracket not mount back into the case correctly.

The user interface could have been more user friendly, there are options (like Cruise On, Cruise Off) that are not mentioned anywhere in the book... what does that do? You can get done what you need, but the interface and settings definitely could have been made more user friendly for the average homeowner. Instead of offering techniical abbreviations for options, the user should be presented with "Good, Better, or Best" type options for quality, and maybe "Small", "Medium", "Large" for recorded size... then some presets that offer common combinations of the two and simply describes quality and storage needs for each preset in simple terms.

Overall, I think the unit will do its job just fine... the case is a little flimsy feeling... and the foreign feel of the manual and it's lack of clarity are a little off-putting... but the cameras seem good so far, and it does in fact record and play back images... and that's all I was really asking for.
