      I use this enclosure as a hard drive enclosure. It has a smaller 110v power plug compared to the 3.5in drive enclosure (83-10632) which encorporates the adaptor and plug in one unit making it too large for adjacent plugs in receptacles and power strips. This unit also has a quiet but effective fan for cooling which the 3.5in unit does not have. If the larger size is not a problem I recommend this unit over the 83-10632.
