SD memory card provides storage for a wide range of digital devices.
I bought two of these cards to go with a pair for Raspberry Pi computers I also purchased. One was for my son and one for me. I used one card to install Windows onto a computer I was working with. The other card was left in the packaging until Christmas.
Neither card will work with the Raspberry pi. One card one allow me to write to it anymore and the other throws a ton of failure notifications when installing raspbmc. To all Raspberry Pi owners or potential owners....AVOID THESE CARDS!!!
This card was a very quick way to get the Raspberry up and running but it has an older version of the OS on it. It is missing the WiFi config and Pi Store form the desktop and lots of app from the other folder. I ended up flashing it up to the 12-16-2012 version which seems more stable than the original.
If you have a way to download the torrent file for the OS image and a SD reader to use then just use a blank SD.
If you to get up and running fast and easy get this pre-loaded card.
The cards are nice and fast and work as expected in most of the devices I've tried, except the Pi - don't get these for the raspberrys, as they crash as soon as the pi starts to write to it. "mmc0: Controller never released inhibit bit(s)" and IO errors. Otherwise they are fine though, so if you aren't using a Pi its a good buy.
I bought 2 of these to use with Raspberry Pi's that I also ordered. They had I/O errors trying to install Raspbmc. The Pi's are known for being picky with both power supplies and SD cards. I bought a Lexar card locally, loaded my image and problem was solved. This is not meant to demean the product in anyway, but if your intention is to use these to run Raspbmc on your Pi, I did NOT have success.
Works great in my Pentax digital SLR camera.
Very fast shipping. Great prices and huge selection of products. I love this place.
