A high quality, convenient and compact device that converts digital HDMI signals from Raspberry Pi into the analog signals required by the widely used VGA computer displays still commonly in use.
Item arrived on time in perfect condition. Weeks later I noticed a similar item with the added feature of a jack to output audio from the HDMI data. The items, I think, were very close in price, and I've ordered two of the newer ones but am also content with this lesser model. I would like to suggest that Raspberry Pi users look for the updated adapter that provides the added HDMI audio output, as the Pi seems to provide better audio that way. I am happy shopping with this merchant and will shop here again.
Having two old CRT VGA monitors on my desk and no TV set with HDMI or NTSC nearby it is quite useful. I usually talk to the Raspberry PI via SSH and Xwindows, but there are occasionally times, like first bootup when you need direct access.
