The Raspberry Pi (short: RPi or RasPi) is an ultra-low-cost credit-card sized Linux computer which was conceived with the primary goal of teaching computer programming to children. It was developed by the Raspberry Pi Foundation, which is a UK registered charity (Registration Number 1129409). The foundation exists to promote the study of computer science and related topics, especially at school level, and to put the fun back into learning computing.

  The B version Pi speaks for itself. The case however, is freakishly huge. It is considerably larger than the majority of other cases available. The case/enclosure is a Bud Industries PS-11591 rough external measurements are: ~ 5-1/8"(L) x 3.5" (W) x 2-5/8" (H) I would have probably selected another option, had MCM provided a better description of this 'kit'.

  A great learning and experimenting tool. I also use to implement a media center for my TV. Still working on refining that part. Occasionally I get it locked up, and have to restart. You should definitely use a USB hub for keyboard and mouse. I was able to use a remote app on my tablet to control XBMC.
