  I have been using one of these fine anti-static mats for several years now with no complaints nor failures (unless of course you count the notion that even the "recommended cleaner" removes the writing printed on the mat...) I have run this product through the ringer. It dissipates static well, has adequate built-in connectors for grounding and wrist straps - and amazingly as advertised is very tough and although we've tried, we have yet to melt the mat any even soldering small parts directly on the surface. Comes highly recommended and the value now is even better as the prices have decreased considerably since our purchase...
