I have not bothered to do a permanent installation, and might not! It works well just lying next to the TV. I'll take it outside and see if I get any more stations.

    Surprising performance

    Overall: 5 out of 5

I wasn't expecting much from such a small, powered antenna. I had a conventional yagi antenna up, but ended up having multipath problems. Looking for something less directional, I decided to give this a shot, and it hasn't disappointed. I'm roughly 30 miles from my local broadcast towers, and it picks them all up perfectly without any dropouts, even splitting into two receivers. Even more surprising, it picks up one of the low power analog VHF stations decently well. Picked up another one for family- at this price, you can't go wrong.
Use tvfool.com or a similar site to determine where to point it, and you're golden.
