  Let's face it, I never would have *considered owning one of these if they didn't have "Crescent" drop-forged right into the gleaming steel handle. Too gimmicky. Too complex and too many small parts to work on the job for moer than five minutes. But I imagine that's what guys like us thought about the first adjustable wrences they saw. I can now tell you from observation that every part of this wrench is made to stand up to Crescent's reputation for quality and reliability. I have indeed used it on the job, and even handed it to cnstruction professionals, who not only handed it back in perfect working order, thank you, but without complaints of any sort. MCM Electronics stocks this wrench in three sizes, and I've taken advantage of sale prices to equip myself with two complete sets of each. I recommend one of each to anyone whose work doesn't exclude the need for the largest or smallest of them. I marked this wrench down from the topmost rating for one reason and one only: I find I need to readjust mine every time I remove and reposition it on the fastener. It's not that it slips out of adjustment (Never!) but that it's so EASY to adjust that any disturbance can change it. So DON"T throw out your set of thumbwheel-adjustable wrenches. On the other hand, there will be tight situations where you can't easily reach or turn a thumbwheel when one of these will come in mighty handy. And for blind adjustment, it's as fast as anything.
