    Does Its Job

    Overall: 4.5 out of 5

I bought this for my rPi 3. It worked immediately, as expected, with no issues whatsoever.

Pi View HDMI to VGA Converter

    Overall: 2 out of 5

Doesn't work. I read in a forum today that a non powered converter won't work. Wish I would have read that before I bought this. However, I read in another thread that you can get these to work by modifying some file on the SD card. I'll give that a try. If that doesn't work, i'll probably return it cuz I have no other use for it. Hope this helps someone.

    HDMI to VGA Converter

    Overall: 5 out of 5

This is the first converter out of three that worked with NO changes to Raspberry Pi Debian Wheezy version software. It is a fantastic buy and recommend it to Amateur Radio Operators for use with G4KLX software. No changes to the ./root config needed. I am buying more shortly. Thanks! Dennis

    Works great

    Overall: 5 out of 5

This is the way to go if you want to connect a VGA monitor to the Raspberry Pi. I tried the less expensive HDMI to DVI to VGA, and it did not work because there was not a conversion from digital to analog. This slightly more expensive method does that and the monitor works great.

Pi View - HDMI to VGA Converter - For the Raspberry PI board

    Overall: 4.5 out of 5

Item arrived on time in perfect condition. Weeks later I noticed a similar item with the added feature of a jack to output audio from the HDMI data. The items, I think, were very close in price, and I've ordered two of the newer ones but am also content with this lesser model. I would like to suggest that Raspberry Pi users look for the updated adapter that provides the added HDMI audio output, as the Pi seems to provide better audio that way. I am happy shopping with this merchant and will shop here again.

    Straightforwardly does it's job

    Overall: 4.5 out of 5

Having two old CRT VGA monitors on my desk and no TV set with HDMI or NTSC nearby it is quite useful. I usually talk to the Raspberry PI via SSH and Xwindows, but there are occasionally times, like first bootup when you need direct access.
