This miniature RC helicopter is great for any age. With its four blade design it is easy to fly, and the metal chassis makes it more durable.
I used 6 AA rechargeable NiHM batteries in the controller and they work fine. After you charge it and have the channel right and all tuned on, you must move the throttle lever forward and then back to activate the heli and connect it to the remote via infrared. Start off by pushing the throttle forward until it starts to rotate on the ground some but not fly, then use the trim knob to get it to stop rotating, now you can start to fly. but only start a light takeoff while trying to control it in rotation and forward/backward flight. At first, do not just full throttle it and try to take off flying fast or you will crash into something for sure! I have not hit anything hard, but it seems somewhat durable so far and has a spare tail rotor, two spare blade sections and a spare link that connects the gyro bar thing to the top blade. Fun toy that so far seems to work well at a great price.
