  I ordered this to connect external drives, they all need power. It comes without an external power supply, OK, I can see it has a connector, so I ordered it and the external supply that looked like it was related. With parts in hand, I see that the plugs are close, but not an exact match, and neither the hub packaging nor the plastic beside the power connector indicate what voltage, polarity or amperage is needed by the hub. Seven ports are nice, but not if I can't use an un-documented connector, and am limited to bus-power

  Received the hub the other day. Only problem I have with it is that the USB A to B cable is very short. If you have the computer under the desk and want to put the hub on the desk, you will need a longer A to B cable. Otherwise, the Hub itself works great.
