  This transistor blew almost immediately. Taking it apart and comparing it's die size to the original, it was much smaller. The companion 2SA1941 was fine. The 2SC5198 looked very different on the outside as compared to the 2SA1941, though they were both marked as toshiba. I used an NTE36 instead, which matched the 2SA1941 in physical appearance, though not the markings, and did not blow.
