  These lamps have successfully replaced the old 500 watt mogul base A series incandescents in our church sanctuary hanging light fixtures. What we loose is a litte bit less light and the ability to use our dimming variac that fed these. You also have to scout around for mogul to edison converter bases to do what we did. Color temp is acceptable.

  Warms up quickly from a cold start. Good color index and spectrum. Ballast protrudes quickly from the base - may not fit into some reflectors. Are looking into a retrofit for all of our 175W Mercury vapor fixtures.
