Ideal tools for sound system set-up and calibration. Very similar in sound, pink noise has an equal amount of energy per octave from 20Hz~20KHz, while white noise has an equal amount of energy per frequency, in Hz, from 20Hz~20KHz. When connected to system input, these generators allow the use of spectrum analyzers such as the ASA-10B (#72-7470), for accurate measurement of system response. PN2W generates pink or white noise. PPN2 and PN3A have unbalanced 1/4" outputs, and power is automatically switched "on" when a plug is inserted. The PN2W has an unbalanced RCA female output, and front panel switch selects "off", "pink" or "white" noise. Each requires a 9V battery (#292-035), not included.
