Watertight die-cast aluminum box features a 2-piece lap-joint construction with a bead of rubber like silicon around the perimeter to provide protection against dust accumulation and water. Designed to meet IP65 classification. Assembled with machine screws in threaded holes with individual neoprene “O” rings.

      Hammond is THE name in project enclosures. Top quality enclosures at reasonable prices. I have ordered several different varieties of this product and I am very impressed with the quality and tight tolerances of the products. I use these enclosures to build VERY high end guitar effects pedals and have had great results using Hammond enclosures. One thing I might note on the negative side, minor as it is, sometimes the screw holes for the cover are the slightest bit tight. This is probably a good thing for the waterproof enclosures, however including a higher quality screw would be a nice addition (the screws are not junk but a grade up would be appreciated). So you may want to purchase a higher-end screw to avoid stripping the screw head, especially if you will be re-opening the enclosure repeatedly.
