The IOGEAR 2-Port Compact USB VGA KVM allows users to share a VGA monitor, USB mouse, and USB keyboard between two computers. It supports multiple operating systems including Windows, Sun, and Mac.   I'm not really sure what features the more expensive units could offer that this KVM switch doesn't do. I purchased this because my cousin wanted me to try to get a virus off her PC and I figured I'd be switching between my computer and her computer several times. I was, and this KVM switch worked great. It is low profile and about 2.5 inches square with two USB inputs for the keyboard and mouse and a monitor output. There is a monitor cable and single USB cable that connect to the PCs. Simply press the button to toggle between PC 1 and PC 2. There is a red LED that shows which PC is active. I did experience where if I started up a PC without it being selected I would get a "keyboard missing" error following POST, but once that PC was selected I was able to acknowledge the error and it would continue to boot. When this happened there would be a several second delay before the PC would seem to recognize the keyboard or mouse, but it would eventually recognize both.
