Economical Winner for its Price Range

    Overall: 5 out of 5

Did not know what I was missing until I replaced the factory Woofer that were doomed at that crackling point.
Had to do a little retro fitting to mount within the sock mounting behind the door grill. The sound of this woofer really surprised me but I was comparing it to the factory 2ohm. Perfect power match for my Media radio that drives 20Watts RMS to them. A trick is to use a shunt resistor for high power systems but that's not a recommendation. Soldered connections to avoid problems later down the road. For the space I had to mount replacement speakers this was the perfect solution. Had to fabricate mounting hardware do to different hole patterns.
As for the other reviews rating and comparisons with the spec sheets. Come on get real look at the price range of this speaker Its very economical and don't claim to be expensive top of the line dig deep into your pocket quality. It's a winner for its price range.
    Thanks MCM ...

    Good for cheap

A real solid performer for under 8 bucks! The only thing I dont understand is why the connect tabs are pointing the wrong way. Hard to slip on the quick connects and place speaker in cabinet. Crazy. Otherwise a great deal. I built a helmholtz speaker set with this woofer and titanium tweeters. I bought a tpa3116 amp board with bluetooth and built it into one cabinet. Solid performer and the bass makes your chest cave!

I'm not sure what these other reviewer scientists are talkin about or what all those dang numbers mean. By golly I just got me a pair of replacement speakers for my truck for about the same price as a pack of Budweiser. And DANG they sound good!

    Glad I tried it, but...

    Overall: 3 out of 5

OK for the money, but not enough for good audio. Had to stretch spider to lower resonance to rated 40Hz. Distortion from limited linear excursion noticeable on loud deep bass. Seems to have more upper bass (what you might expect from this size) and not as smooth or deep as (but slightly louder than) the 98 Lincoln OEM sub it was to replace. 2 ohm DC resistance.

Data sheet has been wrong for over a year

    Overall: 3 out of 5

Be advised: the specs on the selling page may or may not be correct, but the data sheet is way off. And MCM knows this. Look at the impedance plot--to wit: no 4 ohm woofer ever has a lowest dynamic impedance of 8 Ohms.
