    Splitter #50-15015

    Overall: 1 out of 5

I have been trying for about 2 years to get one of these to work for more than a month. About every week I have to turn it off and then on for it to "reset". It's hard to believe that a piece of electronic equipment like this has to be "reset" after a couple of weeks operation. It has been replaced by MCM at least 3 times and then this week one of the outlets totally malfunctioned. Usually, it just puts out a real bad picture and sound. This time, it totally lost everything. To me, this is a really expensive piece of equipment to have so much trouble with it. I do not recommend this to anyone.

    Works Great

    Overall: 5 out of 5

This extender works great. I currently have the base located at my CAT 5e home-run patch panel and distribute my cable box's HDMI output to multiple TVs througout the house. The longest run I have used is probably about 50 ft. Utilizing patch panel plugs and wall plugs don't seem to attenuate the signal. For the nerds out there, the system utilizes the MAX3815 chip which utilizes all 8 wires on a CAT5 cable. If you want to distribute IR as well, you will need to use either another cable or go RF...highly recommend.
