Phono Input Attenuator
Device allows standard line level items to be played through magnetic phono inputs, commonly found on older home audio receivers and mixing consoles. CD/DVD/ MP3 players, tape decks, VCRs, computer sound cards and tuners may now be connected to unused phono inputs. In addition to providing the required signal attenuation, this unit provides passive equalization to compensate for the RIAA curve that is present on magnetic phono inputs.

      This is a great way of reclaiming an unused phono input. I have an ADCOM GTP 500II preamp, and I actually use one of the tape input jacks to connect a tube phono stage for a turntable. That leaves me with an unused phono input that I couldn't use for anything else - until now! Very good quality, excellent sonics, and great price.

      Followed instructions connected to phono inputs. Line out from into the line inputs of the attenuator. Loud high pitched hum was the result. There goes 10 bux. Wish it worked because I really wanted to use that phono input. BTW the input is not the problem. Record player works fine. Ended up buying a av selector for 2 inputs going into one line level input. I really wish I had something better to say about this product, but the sad truth is it doesn't work.

      I have used these on a couple of occasions. Works great every time. Simple, cost effective, well built and straight forward. Perfect when the customers receiver is out of line level inputs, and has "just-one-more" item to plug in. If you have an unused turntable input, and you need to plug in a CD/DVD player, or iPod, laptop or anytrhing else, this is great!
