  This unit does what it claims to do, but there is very little in the way of instructions. While it's true you just plug your device into it and it into the power outlet, more information and suggestions on using it would be helpful. Suggestions on long-term analysis of products; things to watch or look out for, etc., would be helpful...at least to those of us who are not certified electricians. But yes, it works as advertised and seems well built.

  This is a great item. Very easy to use; just go around the house and plug things into it. You may be surprised at what electric items use for power (even in the off or standby mode). I found that I had an older freezer pulling an enormous amount of power compared to the newer models. Time to get rid of or replace the freezer. This is saving me much more than I spent on this item.
