  Got these to replace an old hand-biting auto-stripper that also had specific notches for each wire gauge - accidentally pick the wrong one, or have the wire move into an adjacent notch before the grabbers engaged, and you were SOL, especially if you didn't have much excess wire to work with. Previous strippers were also impossible to use in enclosed spaces like junction boxes, just like the old-style red handled cut and twist strippers. This wire stripper has none of those inherent evils - just put them on the end of the wire and squeeze - a perfect strip every time! High quality materials, very strongly built, no plastic like cheaper strippers of this type - these belong in every handyman's tool box!
