    Three Strikes Your Out !!!

    Overall: 1.5 out of 5

OK! This I and sending this Amp/Tuner back. Again the first one had unbalanced audio output, the second unit had a Bad 60hz hum in both channels and the audio would go on and off from left to right at low volume. Now the third one arrived and it had LCD display problems BUT I thought I could live with this, but Now the third one has a on/off 60hz humm in both channels as well as loosing audio too. Going to send this one back and get credit.... Can't say I didn't Try!

    Plenty of power but.............

    Overall: 4 out of 5

I'm using this unit in my home stereo setup with 4 peavey pr 10's. The output power of this receiver is excellent. Compared to high end units that sell for 3 or even 4 times the price of this one, there simply is no competition. I read several reviews and did a lot of internet research before I purchased this unit.************

    The BAD:
    1. Overall the biggest and only real complaint I could find in my research was that the unit is noisy, i.e.(even when turned all the way down there is still a hum). There is an obvious flaw in Pyle's circuitry that is causing the ground issue. I found a way to work around this issue, see Note below.
    2. Even using professional PA speakers the highs and mids on this unit leave a little bit to be desired. it is really hard to dial in a good clear crisp treble. I'm using a dual 15 band equalizer to remedy this, and the sound is excellent
    3. The remote, lightweight, flimsy and looks and feels cheap. the biggest flaw with the remote is that it does not power the unit on or off, you have to get up out of your comfy rocking chair for that. Also there is no control on the remote for the Sub out. Otherwise it is quite easy to navigate through all the other functions.
    4. The unit is pretty heavy, don't drop it on your foot cause it will hurt.
    5. Mic inputs: Echo effect for the mic inputs is pretty crappy unless it is just barely on, of course if you can't sing a lick crank it up and no one will notice. Only 1 volume, bass, treble, and echo control for both mic inputs, so if one person is singing louder than the other the other guy is out of luck.

    1. This is by far the coolest looking stereo I've ever owned, the adjustable dimmer for the blue lights is just neat, all my friends love it.
    2. Simplicity, so easy a caveman can do it, it's just a stereo. Not a lot of complicated bells and whistles.
    3. Built in preamp output controlled by Sub knob on the front is very nice feature.
    4. More than enough power to push my 4 200W peavey pr 10's, response is much better than my old pioneer, and overall sound is 100 times better than anything sony ever built, and virtually no distortion until it gets really really loud.
    5. Price: I didn't have to sell my house or put my pets in a shelter to afford this thing. I don't know of any other product like this one, in it's price range, and 200W per channel. Nothing comes close, that I know of.

Note: I purchased a toslink (optical laser output) to rca adapter to run this unit from my HD tv and the sound is crystal clear, "no hum". I run everything through my TV, i.e. (computer, mp3 player) However there is a ground issue with these amps, every time a light switch is turned on or off I can hear a little pop in my speakers. Make sure your ac chord is snuggly plugged in to a grounded outlet. If you don't have tons of money to spend and need a lot of clean power, I highly recommend this unit, but I do suggest you spend a little more and get an EQ.
