  after searching the internet for some nice sounding mids without spending a fortune i came across these speaker i ordered them it took 2 day to come and i made box and install them , they play very loud and very clear i am happy with them for now they didnt bloew out i hiope the last for yars to come i will continue to push them to see hoe strong they reall are and then i will order more . but pleased for now.

  This is some of the best bang for the buck you'll find anywhere. I got a pair for my car doors because the big magnet / small VAS (compare with the other speakers in this catalog, for example) indicates it's well damped by itself without depending on a tuned enclosure. That turned out to be true. The bass is solid and tight. (They also dropped right in with no mods to the OEM speaker mounts.) The only problem is that it's 8 Ohm and not very efficient compared with the OEM speakers, so I had to fade way forward to keep the rear 6X9's from taking over completely. I don't much like elliptical speakers anyway, so I replaced them each with a pair of MCM 3 inch 8 Ohm aluminum cone speakers I had sitting around (don't know whether they're still available) wired in parallel to present 4 Ohm per channel to the stereo. That gives it a pretty good front/rear balance and sounds great.

  I used these in the front doors of my 2nd gen Intrepid as midbasses. Running without any crossover, these produce loud, unbelievably clean, distortion-free midrange. Heavy distorted guitar is delivered accurately, vocals are clear, very intelligible, and drums absolutely come to life! They also produce a surprising amount of punchy, fast bass given that they're working into virtually no airspace, probably dropping off at the 70-80hz range. Fairly sensitive, pyramid rates these at 90db, I'd say that's about right, maybe 91 or 92. They mate incredibly well with MCM's budget soft dome tweeter, # 55-2970. I'm more than satisfied with these woofers, I'm truly blown away at the amount of clean, balanced sound for such a teeny tiny price. Don't waste money on expensive component speaker kits, just get these and some decent tweeters and enjoy a much better sound.
