  This little guy can really generate some good sound! It basically turns whatever you set it on into the resonator. Different materials give different quality to the sound. So far, I prefer my wood dresser. It's vintage, so the aged wood really gives good resonance. I even set it on a shoe box and got good sound. Just experiment and find what you like. I'm also very impressed with the battery life. I charged it for a few hours once I first got it and it still hasn't needed a second charging yet! And I've been listening to it a lot! I even left it on overnight and it still has the green light on. It's very portable, being about the size of a camera lens. As long as there is a solid surface for you to set it on, you can get some great sound. Just to give you a tip: the thinner the surface you set it on, the louder the sound it will produce. Thicker surfaces tend to give a smoother low end, but some thicker surfaces just don't want to resonate very well. Just experiment and you will find the sweet spot!
