  I have been using these replacement irons for 2 years at my repair shop. It stays on all day 5 days a week. I will get an average of 6 months before they fail. Not bad for $10.00. Yea I could spend $100.00 for Weller but these have worked fine for me.

  used station 2 maybe 3 times and element opened up. From the comments I'm not replacing the element.

  Iron burns out long before even one tip gets used up. Weak as water, too. Has to be cranked up to max temp to accomplish anything - burning it out even faster. Less heat just damages parts through heat transfer while you wait for it to do something. Not an all-day workhorse, has to be turned off ASAP to get any time out of it. Worst value I ever bought from MCM, very disappointing waste of money. Stay away from this one.

  Had this unit for a few months now and I'm on the 5 th replacement iron. I don't leave it on any longer than I need thew iron to be hot. I replaced this iron a couple of months ago and again this iron is dead. I had the old tenma solder station and the irons on those would last for months at a time. I usually ended up replacing the tips on the 3-5 times before the iron would quit. It s time to find a quality and dependable solder station.
