Model TSX100 XRS Two-Way Radio
New XRS two–way radios, from Tri Square Electronics, utilize the newly allocated 900MHz band for license free non–subscription two way radio communications. By combining spread spectrum and frequency hopping technologies, much greater privacy, with greatly minimized interference is possible. Literally hundreds of simultaneous users can operate within the same general area, without accidental or intentional interference. 900MHz operation provides improved signal penetration when compared to conventional 460MHz FRS and GMRS units. One watt output power provides range comparable to GMRS radios with advertised output power five watts. All radio models operate up to 45 hours on alkaline batteries. Separately available NiMH battery packs provide up to 16 hours of operation on a single charge.
