      I have been looking for a personal soldering station to do SMT work at home and this unit has a fine pencil that feels like a pencil. The wire that feeds the pencil is light weight and flexible that gives the user better control in delivering the necessary heat to the work piece in tight places. The unit was priced so nice, has excellent temperature control, and made my co-workes so jealous, that I had to order another one to use there. Now I get the pleasure of using two WD1001 Soldering Station. Thank You MCM for such a nice tool.

      Replaced my 30 year old Weller WCTPS ... what a difference. The tip is very close to the handle making delicate work much easier. Heats quickly and setup is really simple.
