I am a audio repairman and I use my unit daily and I have both the 80 watt and the 65 watt irons and the WSL station too. When it comes to the unit itself, the WD 2 it is very easy to use and seems to be pretty tough. You say then why the low rating and the answer is easy, the irons are terrible for daily use. If you only want something to use here and there this might be a good one, but if you need something like I do this is not the one to buy. The irons are expensive and only last 3 to 6 months if used heavily. Again, you might say this is just for the unit and I would say what good is the base without the irons that make it work? I have had to buy 7 or 8 of the irons, so you do the math! For heavy use buy one that uses separate heaters in the tips, instead of the irons.
